The Strunz and Farah Concert

Innovators of a new guitar style that blends the Latin American traditions of Jorge Strunz with the Persian traditions of Ardeshir Farah.
From Costa Rica, Jorge Strunz began studying and playing flamenco and classical guitar. By the time he was a teenager, Jorge was performing professionally and focusing on combining his own Latin American and Caribbean roots with jazz.
From Iran, Ardeshir Farah performed and recorded with many of the top expatriate Persian singers and musicians who fled after the Revolution

Their music is saturated with their cultural roots: Afro-Caribbean, Latin American folk, flamenco and Middle Eastern music, and draws heavily from the jazz concept of improvisation
